Impulse Point offers the only fully managed support service available in the NAC industry. Safe•Connect is delivered as an operationally managed service, allowing you to focus your energies and manpower on other areas of your business.

The health of the Safe•Connect solution is monitored from the Impulse Support Center on a continuous basis. Impulse Point is responsible for providing all necessary hardware and software maintenance, problem determination and resolution, and ongoing feature enhancements. Customers always maintain full control of managing individual policies and enforcement rules via the Safe•Connect Policy Management Console.

Impulse Point also offers a remote disaster recovery service that houses daily policy configuration backups that can be easily restored in the event of a disruption of service.

Ease of deployment and maintenance, coupled with reduced risk, results in the lowest total cost of ownership and the fastest path to ROI in the NAC industry.

Impulse Point prides itself on the quick, efficient, and accurate implementation and deployment of the Safe•Connect NAC Solution.

The Safe•Connect Policy Enforcer Appliance is configured prior to shipment and prepared for remote installation upon arrival. Remote installation, with the assistance of the customer, is provided as part of the Impulse Point standard service agreement, and generally takes less than an hour per appliance or location.

NAC installation can be accomplished in hours instead of days!

training

The Impulse Support Center is available for consultation as a feature of our managed services. Administrative and help desk manuals are available online as well as remote training sessions.

On-site installation and training can also be arranged based on specific needs; however, Impulse Point’s pre-configuration and remote installation process enjoys a high success rate and on-site support should not be necessary.

802.1x service module offering

Impulse Point also provides optional services such as its 802.1x Service Module Offering (SMO). The Safe•Connect 802.1x SMO delivers turnkey professional services, support, and guidance to Impulse Point customers who wish to implement or expand their 802.1x infrastructure in combination with the Safe•Connect NAC system in an enterprise-wide or phased-in/hybrid approach.

The 802.1x SMO provides the flexibility to deploy multiple quarantine methods within an enterprise (at the router, switch, or endpoint device), delivers the benefits of NAC today, and forges a roadmap for future 802.1x deployment.

Safe•Connect provides consistent functionality for NAC running on virtual machines. VM sessions are treated identically to their non-virtual counterparts.
