Impulse Point's Managed Service Support for Network Access Control Solution Provides New Product Updates within 48 Hours

TAMPA, FL - APRIL 5, 2010 - Impulse Point, provider of the most scalable network access control (NAC) solution for large enterprise networks announced today that Safe•Connect supports the Apple iPad and that updates were pushed to all customers within 48 hours of release of the new endpoint device.

As the NAC industry's first and only NAC-as-a-Service (NaaS) provider, Impulse Point is respondible for updating the Safe•Connect product for all its cusomters on a timely basis. Our industry leading Service Level Agreement (SLA) for new devices, operating system, and endpoint security software is 24 to 48 hours, as compared to other NAC providers who struggle with maintaining 24-48+ "day" update cycles.

"We profiled and tested the new iPad within hours of its actual release on Saturday," states Max Garcia, Chief Technology Officer for Impulse Point. New Power Compliance Module Results in Substantial Cost Savings for Managed Users

New to Safe•Connec Version 4.0 is Impulse Point's Power Compliance Policy Module. SAFE•CONNECT NAC LEADS INDUSTRY IN GOING GREEN

Impulse Point's Safe•Connect NAC Uses 92 Percent Less Energy than Legacy NAC

TAMPA, FL, April 17, 2008 –Impulse Point, provider of the most scalable network access control solution for large enterprise networks, announced today that Safe•Connect uses considerably less power to manage users than other NAC solutions due to its scalable architecture. In side-by-side comparisons of energy consumption, Safe•Connect uses 92.9 percent less energy than Legacy NAC systems.

"Safe•Connect can provide network access control for 10,000 users on a single appliance," explains Karl Muehlberger, Chief Operating Officer of Impulse Point. "Legacy NAC solutions need 12 or more appliances to support a similar end user environment. Stockton, CL, October 2, 2007 – Impulse Point, provider of the most scalable network access control solution for large enterprise networks, and the University of the Pacific, announced today that the broadcast messaging component of the Safe•Connect NAC solution will be used as one of the methods to notify students and faculty at the University of the Pacific of an emergency situation.

Recent proposed amendments to the Clery Act (a part of the Higher Education Act) require complete notification of an entire campus community within 30 minutes of an emergency. The University of the Pacific is instituting several methods of communication, including text messaging and email announcements in addition to the ability to automatically display web-based broadcast messages delivered by the Impulse Point Safe•Connect system.
